RemoteAdv was founded by Wian Redelinghuys and Elyse Armstrong, an adventurous couple who share a passion for riding, and are based in the picturesque Wellington region. The mission of Remote Adv is to foster a vibrant community of adventure riders who not only enjoy, but also actively seek out opportunities to explore more remote and challenging locations throughout New Zealand on their bikes. These are the dedicated riders who equip their motorcycles with knobbly tyres, not just for idle chatter at the local cafe, but for the thrill of genuine adventure. Through our regular monthly rides, we have engaged with numerous adventure riders and discovered a significant desire for events that push the boundaries beyond the typical gravel roads. This has inspired us to craft events that lead participants to lesser-known trails that offer a true sense of adventure and challenge. Our goal is to create a welcoming social atmosphere where everyone can feel a sense of belonging, while also providing the opportunity to enhance their riding skills and connect with fellow enthusiasts.
